This project will be completed within the next couple of weeks and is the 27 year dream of the Lady of the house. A large home which has been improved by placing two new extensions over the rear single story flat roofed extensions and an additional angled extension to incorporate a large utility room and wine store.
Every room has been re-modelled with no less than 8 new roofs out of 9 being either replaced or re-worked. Two of the other bedrooms have gained extra space with niches created for bespoke fitted wardrobes to be slotted in. One bedroom now extends further to the rear. The living room and former dining room have been opened up into one space with huge steels recessed into ceilings to create a large family living room with a stunning marble mantelpiece and black slate front hearth.
The front elevation faces south and the addition of a sun tube to the front roof positively breathes life into the balconied landing which runs around the first floor. The two rear extensions have allowed the master bedroom to gain a separate en-suite and large built in wardrobes in the place of the former en-suite.
The kitchen has also been increased in size by removing yet more internal walls. Porcelain tiles abound the kitchen and bathrooms with the main areas of the ground floor fitted with solid oak wooden flooring laid in a herring bone pattern. A lumitec absolute white paint, designed to reflect light, warms every room. Nothing has remained untouched during this large refurbishment.Share This
